Faceter ICO About

Faceter is the first decentralized surveillance system for consumers. Faceter makes video surveillance smart, giving brains to cameras through enhanced face detection, object detection and real-time video analysis. These features allow cameras to understand the situation and respond to it, offering much better security to all the customers. At Faceter’s technological core is the absolute respect for privacy, and the utilization of the features of convolutional neural networks to split the tasks reinforces this commitment. As a result, sensitive data is always processed in a completely trusted environment, and all images not subject to recovery are passed to the decentralized network.

Faceter ICO Review

Faceter is the first decentralized surveillance system for consumers. Faceter makes video surveillance smart, giving brains to cameras through enhanced face detection, object detection and real-time video analysis. These features allow cameras to understand the situation and respond to it, offering much better security to all the customers.

Usual computer vision technologies are expensive to develop and require the additional expense of requiring substantial computing resources to run. Only a few very expensive B2B solutions have computer vision and video content analysis implemented as a part of their technology stack. As a consequence, their technologies are still very early-stage compared to the possibilities offered by the vast potential of neural networks.

Computer vision technology on the blockchain powered by a decentralized network of miners makes the product affordable for all-sized businesses and mass market consumers. The benefit from a mining perspective is that a

contribution of miner's resources to Faceter is twice as profitable as the mining of Ether on the same

Graphic Processing Units.

At Faceter’s technological core is the absolute respect for privacy, and the utilization of the features of convolutional neural networks to split the tasks reinforces this commitment. As a result, sensitive data is always processed in a completely trusted environment, and all images not subject to recovery are passed to the decentralized network.

On May 25th, the FACE token will be available for everyone on the HitBTC exchange. No definite time is given!

Hey guys, with solutions also geared for government agencies, the use of tokens by by state bodies can be tricky and in some cases, might be altogether impossible because of regulatory concerns in some parts of the world. I wonder how Faceter could possibly elude such issues?

  • 6 months ago Gabriel Stephen

Hey @jaypanerio. Perhaps it would be best for the investor to take a close look into his country's regulation first before making a move. And you are absolutely right, regulatory uncertainty around the globe is hindering projects from really hitting their stride.

  • 6 months ago Gabriel Stephen

The project’s target market is currently limited to governmental organizations, military and private corporations, and it’s still a question of how they are going to sell the solution to small companies and consumers.

  • 6 months ago Jonas Panerio

However @gabestephen you also have to consider that video surveillance is a key tool when we talk about public safety. Faceter is going to add a hi-tech brain to ordinary video cameras to turn them into your personal never-sleeping policeman.

What is the competition in this sector like?

  • 6 months ago Jonas Panerio

The video surveillance market has experienced a continuing growth trend in the last decade. Using video cameras for security is no longer exclusively the domain of large enterprises, banks, airports and busy city areas. Video surveillance is actively used in various industries - transport, shops, offices, etc. Due to lower prices for video surveillance technology, the equipment required is now accessible to the private sector.

  • 6 months ago Gabriel Stephen

The video surveillance sector has a large number of non-blockchain CCTV companies such as: Ivideon – A cloud service that provides video surveillance solutions for home and business. Vocord – Focused mainly on the business sector, this company was founded in 1999. There are also other solutions that use AI for video analytics, as well as face and object recognition, for example IntelliVision or the Cherry Home platform (launched in June 2018) which uses AI, computer vision and biometrics to provide security in homes; it is also able to learn to recognize threatening situations and respond to them.

What differs Faceter from the others in the market?

  • 6 months ago Hunter Levesque

    Hi @jaypanerio. It's at 300,000,000.

  • 6 months ago Jonas Panerio

Hey @Hunter First of all, Faceter declared that their facial recognition system has passed difficult and valuable tests like MegaFace and LFW. Secondly, using of blockchain with its mining ability they can provide computational power at lower costs than traditional systems do. The third point is using of Machine Learning, so Faceter product will study from case to case and when necessary it will use its knowledge. And finally, Faceter system will have an ability to be integrated within all existing CCTV systems all around the Globe.

Who can actually use Faceter technology?

  • 6 months ago Klay Thompson

Pretty sure they can't discuss that as of the moment, mate.

  • 6 months ago Gabriel Stephen

Faceter is made for every class of market consumers as well as businesses. Some of the key uses of Faceter are as follows: B2C: households including apartments, offices, country houses, as well as in family shops and restaurants etc. B2B: enterprises including factories, warehouses, large enterprises, hotels, casinos, shopping centers, banks, restaurant chains, etc. B2G: municipalities including streets, roads, crowded places, railway stations, airports, and strategic facilities etc.

Faceter is said to be working on blockchain technology. How will this make the project any better?

  • 6 months ago Draymond Green

The computer vision technology is said to operate on blockchain technology, through a network of decentralized miners. This is said to make the product more valuable and affordable for all people. Any businesses, regardless of size are also said to be able to use the technology. It’s developed for a mass market of various consumers as well. With a major benefit being in the realm of mining because of the contribution Faceter contributes via its resources.

What's the value of the tokens that were sold during the ICO?

  • 6 months ago Hunter Levesque

I believe the number you're looking for is: $28,610,353

  • 6 months ago Hunter Levesque

It's nice to see that they already have a basic MVP to show how the real app would work. My only concern is that i don't clearly see why blockchain is required for this project.

The developers have released an update regarding UIs and new features: "We have rebuild user interface, making it more understandable for new users. Our desire is to make it handy for you, even if you have never used smart cameras before, to quickly navigate in the interface and enjoy the experience with the application. Also, we’ve added new ways of forming camera lists and remade the current dashboard. Every week, we add new interface details that did not exist in MVP. We added error screens, invalid data entry, camera reset function and much more."

  • 4 months ago Draymond Green

The developers also talked about the integration of “computer vision”. "We have started the direct integration of our primary product into a commercial version of the application, which will be available to everyone. For now, this is not our initial task, but to fully meet our roadmap goals, we have already begun to test these functions. We could also tell you about the new tests with SONM, the video playback optimisation in the web application and other minor improvements, but we’ll leave it for the next time."
