Block Collider ICO Review

Block Collider builds a new blockchain with a mining algorithm that consumes blocks from other blockchains as a part of its mining computational challenge. Miners who submit a bad block as their proof of work will be rejected by other miners and won't get the block reward. As the difficulty rises, the same incentive framework that strengthens the Bitcoin blockchain will reinforce alignment with miners of the Block Collider.

The Block Collider multichain will launch with five compatible blockchains running on technology created to work across hundreds. A sixth hidden chain will also be added to be revealed at a later date. The addition of new chains is decided through a democratic community-led governance process.

With the adoption of Block Collider’s multichain technology:

• transactions and smart contracts can initiated or executed by smart contracts on other blockchains

• secure transactions can be bridged between blockchains without "witnesses", "trusted nodes", or centralization of any kind

• transactions between chains can be sped up beyond the speed of either bridged chain

• smart contracts can be guaranteed to execute automatically distributed application developers can modularly combine exotic features from blockchains across the ecosystem

• distributed application developers can build in the capability to load-balance work between chains

What’s the full implication of locked tokens for this Block Collider ICO?

  • 8 months ago Red Willis

The Foundation's holding of emblems will also be locked up to be used to help mine on the Block Collider multichain.

What do you mean by this statement?

  • 8 months ago Gabriel Stephen

Not really sure but from what I read, since Emblems are very limited in number they will likely be a long-term store of value — especially for miners who hold them. This also helps protect miners who may have to pay increased costs for upgraded equipment and electricity costs.

  • 8 months ago Red Willis

@gabestephen I see what you mean there but isn't that going to defeat the purpose as to why Block Collider actually exists?

  • 8 months ago Gabriel Stephen

@redgotsohigh Miners who have a balance of Emblems can add more transactions per block than the default amount, thereby collecting more fees. This allows blocks to dynamically adjust transaction size, while acting as a more stable store of value for miners than mining hardware.

  • 8 months ago Red Willis

@gabestephen I see what you mean here. Therefore allowing potential investors to actually get more out of what they've purchased.

  • 8 months ago Gabriel Stephen

    Yes, exactly.

  • 8 months ago Red Willis

@gabestephen Then it is definitely an ICO to lay our eyes on. This has a very big potential to go big. Are you planning on investing too?

  • 8 months ago Gabriel Stephen

Still trying to decide. It would help if anyone can post a review here. That would help me out a lot.

  • 8 months ago Red Willis

@gabestephen Same thoughts. I would want to see a unbiased comment coming from someone who either works with them or has invested with them.

How does Block Collider address timeline skimming?

  • 6 months ago Draymond Green

Block Collider is impervious to timeline skinning. Block Collider’s external voting process, however, was not. Let’s repeat that, the core of Block Collider was and remains to be completely unaffected by chain state manipulation, it is only the process by which the Collider elected new chains (a feature not out yet) which was theoretically vulnerable.
